The mandate and objectives of CSRS are
to :
Promote research and study of the
evolving strategic, socio-political, economics and technological
environment, and trends in international security that
are likely to impact India’s security and defence.
Undertake studies on India’s
concerns in relation to the geo-political situation in
Southern Asia, focusing on assessments in the context
of our perceived national aims and interests and on future
developments as far as possible.
