Facilities :-

Psychological Testing Laboratory:
This laboratory has the following category of tests-intelligence tests, projective tests, aptitude test, tests of creativity, rating scales and Anthropometric tests. Currently the lab has 170 psychological tests available.
 
Extension Laboratory:
This laboratory has the facility of anthropometric measures, teaching aids, display boards, slide projector, charts, models, interactive boards, LCD screens.

Laboratory Nursery School and Day Care Centre:
It provides facilities like Preschool education, day care, creche parent/family counseling, referral facilities to the wards of Jammu University employees and outsiders. It also facilitates the M.Sc. (Human Development) students and research scholars of the department to carry on their academic and research pursuits. This laboratory has indoor and outdoor play equipment, storybooks, doll house and audio-visual aids (T.V., music systems, DVD).

Computer Laboratory:
The department presently owns state of art computer laboratory along with necessary accessories. SPSS and SYSTAT software package is available for use in teaching and research.

Library Facility:
Departmental library houses 2814 text books and 24 titles of research journals (most of which are international and national) are available. The books are mainly of Human Development and Child Care (300), Women Studies (265), Psychology (237) Children with special needs (150) and Research Methods 150.

Seminar Room:
The department has a well-equipped seminar room with sitting capacity of 60 persons. Audio-visual aids along with LCD Projector, LED T.V. and PA system are also available.
