Ladakh                                                                                                   

Description: Pheypor (wooden bowl) with lid particularly used to keep barley  flour. It has flat circular base and lid with knob. Outer surface is painted with dragon figures while inner surface is plain.

           

 

Chapskyan (beer jar)

Ladakh                                                                                                                   

Description: Chapskyan with round-footed base, carinated body
with a spout and handle. It also has a lid with knob at the top. It is
especially used to serve chang (local beer) 

 

 

 

 

 Mane Lakskor

 Ladakh                                                                                                 

 Description: Hand prayer wheel made of copper with a wooden handle.
Floral designs are embossed on the top and bottom of the wheel.
Copper appliqué work, studded with ordinary stones is seen on the
body. It is used in the monasteries by the lamas and the laymen for
 reciting mantras in Ladakh.

four chambers.  It is covered with a lid. It is used for preparing mok-mok

     Description:  It is a traditional cap worn by females on special occasion. It is
     made
of wool and decorated with beads, red ribbons and a special kind of

knob. Floral and geometrical designs are engraved on it.
