Dear International Students,

The University of Jammu, as India’s first ISO 9001: 2000 certified public institution of Higher Learning, has made its mark as one of India’s premier research and teaching institutions. Several of its faculties already offer courses which are making it a globally recognized institution which offers outstanding teaching and research programme.

From the academic year 2005-2006, this University has decided to throw open its doors to International students with an offering of a few courses which would form a core around which other customized courses of international relevance. Can be developed and offered in the years to come.

Jammu and Kashmir State is at the focus of the World’s attention today and it is only right that students who are interested in furthering their knowledge of the political dimensions and social dynamics of this state should come to a University located within the state. Jammu University already holds the distinction of being a very vibrant hub and platform for debate and discussion in the best democratic and pluralistic traditions of this country.
