The Department has well equipped research laboratories for carrying out research in enlisted major thrust areas. The Department also has a fish pond, fish breeding channels and a zoological museum. A vehicle is also attached with the Department for Field Studies and collection of the research materials. Recently a new block of the Department has been added to the main building. The new block hosts two M. Sc. Labs, One Seminar/Conference Hall, One Library and a computer nodal centre. State of the Art Human Cytogenetic Lab. and Genetic Research and Counselling Centre has been established and further infrastructure has been developed.

The Department of Zoology has a well equipped library for the benefit of the students, research scholars and the teachers of the Department. Various national and international journals, periodicals are subscribed by the Department.
Computer Lab :-
The Department has a well equipped Computer Nodal Centre with 10 PIV machines and latest biological softwares for the analysis of research data. The lab is also equipped with latest printing and scanning facilities.
