Apart from the above mentioned courses, the candidates
of the Department of Sociology, University of Jammu,
will have to earn two 04 credit courses in 3rd
Semester and 4th Semester from any Open
Category Course of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the
University. The Department of Sociology, University of
Jammu, has offered one OCC of 04 credits “Marginal
Communities In India”, Course No. PSSOTO306 which will
be offered in 3rd Semester, and one OCC OF 4
credits “Understanding Society”, Course No. PSSOTO406
which will be offered in 4th Semester, which
can be opted by the students of other streams of the
faculty of Social Sciences.
