National seminar on “Biodiversity and conservation” was
organized in collaboration with Department of Zoology in
March, 2017
Invited Lecture on “Behavioral Genetics- Predicting,
Detecting and Treating the hereditary genetic disease” was
organized in April 2017.
Seminar on “An introduction to the basics of Human
Cytogenetic and Human Genetic Disorders” was organized in
Sept, 2017.
Interaction Lecture was delivered by Dr. Arun Arora (Gynecologist
& Infertility Expert) who in his impressive talk discussed
the various career opportunities for the students of Human
Genetics was also organized by the department in October,
2017.
Guest lecture on “The Human Race” was delivered by Prof.
SMS Chahal, Dept of Biodiversity, Patiala University,
Punjab.
Invited Lecture on “Stem Cell Culturing” by Prof Suresh
Bihari was organized in January 2018.
The staff members of the department both Teaching and
Non teaching show active participation in the events
organized by the University and other departments like
conferences and workshops. The Department has hosted a
number of Technical sessions of many conferences organized
by the University. Recently, in the month of January, 2018,
practical sessions were organized in the department during
the One Week National workshop on Practical Skill
Enhancement for College teachers.
