The Law School


Introduction :-

The Law School was established in Oct.-2003 to impart quality legal education in the form of a 5 years Law course after 10+2 stage. The Law School is governed by the Statutes as applicable to the 5 years Law Course, Notified by the University of Jammu. The Law School has adopted a multi-disciplinary scientific, flexible and innovative approach in its programs and methods. Thus it aims to: - 

a) Impart high quality legal education by adopting scientific teaching and training techniques. 

b) Develop the personality of the student in a disciplined environment in order to make him/ her capable of pursuing a professional career at the Bar, Competing for Judicial and administrative Services and placement in Legal firms.
 
c) Encourage an interaction between The Law School, Bar and Bench in order to inculcate a professional etiquette.
 
d) Imbibe high sense of social moral values among students.
 
e) Study the role of law and the legal processes in the promotion of national Development and National integration.

f) Foster an inter-disciplinary approach to the study of law on relation to international co-operation, technology, etc.
 
g) Ensure participation in Moot Court/ Mock trials, seminars, tutorials, extension lectures, guided library sessions, project presentations/Report writing, computer application, clinical legal work, sports, and co-curricular activities.
