·         The Department has produced a number of Judicial, Defence and Adminstrative officers over the years.

·         Apart from government services, students have also been able to carve a niche in the corporate sector especially in law firms.

·         The Law School organised National India Rounds of 19^th International Stetson Moot Court Competition on Environmental Law in the month of November, 2014. A total of 28 teams from the best Law Schools of the country participated in this mega event.

·         The Law School organised two days National Seminar on “Satyagraha, Self-Discipline and Gandhi in collaboration with NHRC, on 29^th-30^th October, 2014.

·         The department has been organising Annual Inter-University Bodh Raj Sawhny Debate (North-Zone) in collaboration with Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust since 2004.

·         One day workshop on International Humanitarian Law organized by The Law School in collaboration with ICRC in May, 2015.

·         Students of The Law School bagged the winning trophies in Cricket (men), Badminton (men), Table Tennis (men) and Carom (men) in the interdepartmental sports events 2015.

·         1st Annual Inter-Collegiate Moot Court Competition organized by the department was held on 15-16^th November’2010.

·         Three-Day Teacher training Programme on International Humanitarian Law was organized from 18^th to 20^th feburary’2010 in collaboration with ICRC.

·         Two-Day workshop on International Humanitarian Law organized by the department in Collaboration with ICRC from 23rd to 24th November, 2009.

·         Two Day Teaching Session on International Humanitarian Law organized by The Law School and International Committee of Red Cross during 17^th and 18^th Nov’09.

·         One day Placement Workshop organized by TLC on 12th September’09.

·         One Day Symposium on the topic Women In Cog mire and Dowry System organized by the department in collaboration with Centre for Women Studies, University of Jammu, 2008.

·         One day workshop for civil society on Better Policing in Jammu &Kashmir,organised by The Law School, University of Jammu, 2008.

·         Stetson International Moot Court Competition organised by The Law School & International Attorneys Surana&Surana, September, 2007.

·         Teachers Training Programme on International Humanitarian law,organised by The Law School &International Committee of Red Cross, New Delhi, April 2006.
