Hormones play a vital role in regulating metabolism, reproduction, and the overall physiology and behavior in organisms. In the last decades, there has been tremendous progress in identifying hormone-like molecules released from tissues other than those traditionally defined “endocrine glands”. In addition, increasing evidences have shown an intricate interplay of various hormones in orchestrating effects through complicated signaling pathways involving multiple feedback loops. Understanding these pathways is therefore crucial for elucidating mechanisms and, in turn, developing therapeutics for many disorders and diseases in animals and humans.

Since past many decades, Indian researchers have significantly contributed to field of Endocrinology. It has been realized that the current generation of endocrinology researches in India should be exposed to the most recent developments in field, and also provided with an opportunity of having a close interactions with some of the best brains working in the field around the globe. Hence, the University of Jammu has taken a lead to hold during October 22-25, 2024 the present scientific event, titled as “International Conference on Endocrinology, Metabolism and Reproduction: Exploring New Frontiers”. The conference aims to cover, but not limited to, the themes cantered on emerging technologies and novel approaches in endocrine studies, brain-body interactions, hormone signaling and interactions, metabolic and reproductive health. Thus, the conference will provide a forum to Indian scientist to exchange their ideas with peers, and stay abreast of breakthroughs in basic and clinical research as well as in translational medicine.

To achieve its objectives, the scientific program will include a number of plenary and invited lectures from leaders in the field, in addition to short oral presentation and poster presentations. It will also provide opportunities for informal discussions, networking, and skill development. Early-career researchers striving for innovations will also receive mentorship and required skills by interacting with both practicing scientist and industry experts participating in this conference.
