About Department :-

The Department of Geography since its establishment has made strides in the teaching and research work in different fields of the subject. This Department is the only department in the country which imparts education, training and research in Glaciology. Thrust areas of research in the department or Gromorphology (FLUVIAL and GLACIAL), Geoecology, Biomass, Assessment, Biography, Geography of environment, Agricultural Geography, Pollution and Urban Geogaphy, Regional planning and Development. The department has completed two major research projects and is handling another two.
