MINOR RESEARCH PROJECTS
i) Socio-Economic study of Sikligars(OBC) – A Marginalized Community of J & K State in 2007. It is revealed that they are economically marginalized group having poor living conditions. Most of them do not have State subject and therefore no house are allotted in their name.
ii) Impact Assessment Study of Indira Awaas Yojana vis-à-vis BPL Weaker Sections in Jammu District in 2007. The outcome was that the beneficiaries were happy with the scheme but they have complaint about the red-tappism and BPL survey list.
iii) Dr. Ambedkar Studies Centre has conducted a Research study on the Socio-Economic Status and change among the Jhewar of Jammu. The Jhewar is a caste among Hindus, which has been accorded ‘Other Backward Caste’ (OBC) status in the reserved category schedule of GOI and J&K State.
