Contributing as an Associate Professor of Computer Science & IT and the Associate Director of SIIEDC, University of Jammu, I bring over 19 years of enriching experience in Teaching, Research, Innovation, and Academic Leadership. I have dedicated my work to the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Networks, EEG, BCI, Cyber Forensics, and Databases, and my academic contributions include 103 international publications, 3 books, and 4 patents filed.

I am actively leading several interdisciplinary and high-impact research projects, including Human Emotion Recognition using Brain Signals, AI-based Early Warning Systems, Landslide Monitoring, Drone Technologies, IoT Sensor Networks, and AI-enabled Smart Microscopy. I have guided four PhD scholars, and I am currently mentoring six more, along with supervising six research fellows working under different sponsored research projects.

Honored with prestigious fellowships from UGC, DST, CSI, INSA, MeitY, LTU Sweden, and Rutgers University (USA). These opportunities have enabled me to collaborate with leading global institutions such as IIT Roorkee, Luleå University of Technology (Sweden), Appalachian State University (USA), and the National University of Singapore. My research engagements have taken me to Singapore, Oman, Hong Kong, Thailand, USA, Sweden, and China.

Currently, serve as an Editorial Board Member for Discover Artificial Intelligence, Springer Nature (SCI, Scopus Indexed, High Impact International Journal) and MECS Publisher, Hong Kong (Scopus Indexed International Journal)

As the Coordinator, Spoke Hub (University of Jammu) for the iHUB DivyaSampark Technology Innovation Hub (DST–IIT Roorkee), I played a key role in establishing the MoU with TIH/iHUB DivyaSampark and continue to coordinate several technology-driven innovation and product-development projects.

I hold memberships and fellowships in professional bodies such as CSI, IEEE, and ACM. I have served as Coordinator, CSI Jammu & Kashmir Chapter, and I am presently the Coordinator of the ACM Jammu & Kashmir Chapter. I have also contributed as Guest Faculty at IIM Jammu, Guest/Visiting Faculty at BGSBU Rajouri, and Visiting Fellow at LTU Sweden.

My current research focuses on AI and Machine Learning applications in Bacterial Image Classification, Nematode Identification, EEG-based Human Emotion Analysis, Stock Market Prediction, UAV/Drone Analytics, IoT & Sensor Systems, Intrusion Detection, Oral Cancer Detection, Cyber Forensics, and Alzheimer’s Diagnosis. I am also deeply committed to mentoring young learners through the University’s innovative “Design Your Degree” four-year interdisciplinary undergraduate program. Recently, I have expanded my work into Cyber Forensics, contributing to capacity building, curriculum development, and technology-driven investigative practices.

I serve on several academic and administrative bodies at the University of Jammu, including BOS Computer Science, BOS DYD, DRC Computer Science, DRC Statistics, DAC DYD, the IPR Committee, and the IT Club. Previously, I have contributed to the University in multiple capacities such as Incharge Administration, Warden, Provost Hostels, and Incharge Head of Department.
