Dr. Sushil K. Pandey, Professor
Chemistry

Sushil K. Pandey was born at Mainpuri, India, in 1963. After obtaining his M.Sc. from Agra University, he proceeded to Rajasthan University, Jaipur in 1986 to pursue his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Ram C. Mehrotra and Prof. G. Srivastava. He worked as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow with Prof. Herbert W. Roesky at Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Gottingen University, Gottingen, Germany, during 1991-1993 and then as a Senior Research Scientist at Rajasthan University. He then joined University of Jammu, in 1995 where he is currently a Professor. He has been visiting scientist at National Industrial Research Institute of Nagoya, Japan, with Dr. Takashi Abe.  His current research interest is focused on synthesis of metal complexes consisting of sigma and pi-hole interactions such as spodium bonds, triel bonds, tetrel bonds and pnictogen bonds.
