Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahamd has completed his Ph.D degree in Urdu from the University of Delhi. Currently, he is working as Professor  Department of Urdu, University of Jammu. 

Academic Distinctions and Awards:
1. Awarded the Arsh Malsiani Medal in 1992 for securing highest marks in special paper (Meer Taqi Meer) in M.A.  University of Delhi.
2. Awarded a set of books by "Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund" New Delhi in 1992 for securing first position in the final semester exam of M.A University of Delhi.
3. Awarded on a book "Taraqqi Pasand Tehreek Aur Urdu Novel" by Bihar Urdu Academy, Patna, 2011.
4. Jigar Murad Aabadi Quami Urdu Award for Best Teacher and Writer given by Baghe Educational and social welfare society New Delhi in collaboration with NCPUL, New Delhi on 22nd of March 2016.
