Anju Bhasin, Professor
Physics

I am  currently a Professor in Physics at the Department of Physics, University of Jammu., with  a successful career of almost 29 years, I am also currently holding the position of Dean Academic Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University. By education I am  an experimental Physicist working in the field of High-Energy Nuclear Collisions.. Prior to this I  was Head of the Department of Physics at the University of Jammu from Oct 2011-Sept 2014.

I was also the Founder Vice Chancellor of the Cluster University of Jammu from 2017-2020 and was the first women to be appointed as a Vice Chancellor in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.  

 During my career I have  been a visiting fellow at various institutes and laboratories around the world and have been receipent of several prestigious fellowships and awards. I am presently Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University of Birmingham, UK. For my Research I have worked mostly at world Laboratories : Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva, at Brookhaven National Laboratory, BNL, long Island, USA and at the University of Birmingham.
