Dr.SHASHI PRABHA, Associate Professor

Geography

Dr.Shashi Prabha,Associate Professor,Depatment of Geography is having 24 years of teaching and research experience. She has started her teaching in the higher education department of J&K,Government in the year 2000. She did her masters degree in Geography in 1997 and awarded with the Doctoral degree in Geography in 2007 from department of Geography,UoJ.Her research is in the field of Human Geography with special emphasis on agricultual geography , rural development and planning.She is coordinator of Community Service & Social Justice Ciub of UTSAAH of UoJ.

 While serving in HED of J&K, She remained HOD,Department of Geography,GGM.Sc.College,jammu from 2006 to 2011.She was associated with many  administrative and academic activities and was member of different committees during her sevice in the college.  Dr.Shashi Prabha is associated with many activites at UoJ.She is member of Campus Cultural Committee from 2012 to till date. 

She has worked as Principal Investigator for research projects funded by UGC and JKST&IC. Her research findings are published in research journal having national and international repute.She has also participated in many national and international conferences .
