Dr. Amit Gupta is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. His research primarily focuses on microbiological and immunological studies related to human health, and he has published several research papers in reputable journals. Over the past several years, his work has emphasized waterbased studies, particularly the analysis of various microbiological parameters and their impact on human health. His research also investigates the presence and effects of contaminants in water systems. He is actively involved in guiding Ph.D. students and continues to explore diverse biological aspects with a focus on human health and environmental interactions. Dr. Gupta pursued his Doctorate in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He subsequently completed his postdoctoral research at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei. He has also served as a Senior Research Associate under the Scientist Pool Scheme at the CSIR–Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad. Further, he has worked as a Senior Scientist at the Vidya Pratishthan School of Biotechnology, Baramati, and PP Savani University, Surat, Gujarat, India, and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun.
