           The undersigned has over four decades of distinguished experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and university administration at the University of Jammu. He has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Dean, Academic Affairs; Dean, Research Studies; Dean, Faculty of Science; Head, Department of Physics & Electronics; Convener, Board of Studies in Physics & Electronics; Registrar; and Rector of two off-site campuses. As the senior-most Professor of the University, he also served as In-charge Vice-Chancellor on several occasions during the Vice-Chancellor's absence. As Dean, Academic Affairs, he led the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) at the undergraduate level across the University's affiliated colleges, ensuring a smooth transition to the new curriculum and academic framework. As Coordinator of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), he successfully steered the University in securing a ₹100 crore grant, which facilitated curriculum reforms, the establishment of research clusters, innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, skill development, and other institutional development programs. Earlier, he played a pivotal role in establishing the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) from its inception. His academic contributions include establishing a vibrant research program in photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices, publishing more than 91 research papers in reputed national and international journals, supervising 15 Ph.D. and 22 M.Phil. scholars to completion, and organizing several national and international scientific conferences. At the national level, he has served as the Hon'ble Visitor's nominee on the Executive Councils of three Central Universities, including Jawaharlal Nehru University, and on National Institutes of Technology. He also served three terms on the Executive Committee of the Indian Science Congress Association, coordinated the UGC-NET Examination, and served as the Local Secretary of the 101st Indian Science Congress. The undersigned's proven record of academic excellence, institutional governance, policy implementation, research leadership, and administrative experience provides a strong foundation to lead the Central University of Jammu with vision, integrity, and a commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.
