Komal Nagar, Associate Professor
The Business School

Dr. Komal Nagar is an Associate Professor at The Business School, University of Jammu with a Ph.D. in Marketing and over 10 years of experience in academics and corporate. She has to her credit over fifty publications in international and national journals including Journal of International Consumer Marketing (Taylor and Francis), Journal of Marketing Communication (Taylor and Francis), Journal of Internet Commerce (Taylor and Francis), Journal of Global Marketing (Taylor and Francis), Journal of Global Fashion Marketing (Taylor and Francis), Vikalpa (IIM-Ahmedabad), Management Review (IIM-Banglore), Journal of Services Research and has presented her research findings in various national and international conferences within and outside the country. She is also a newspaper Columnist and is an Advisor to an online portal Jammulinks.com where she has contributed over a dozen articles on management. Her work on ‘Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction among teachers during Times of Burnout’ has received widespread acclaim in India and abroad.  

 

Dr. Nagar has been Awarded the ‘Best Research Paper Award’ at the International Conference on ‘Marketing, Technology and Society’ organized by IIM Kozhikode (2016) for the paper titled Assessing the Impact of Online Retailer Models on Consumers’ E-store Patronage Intentions” and has been conferred with the ‘Best Young Teacher Award -2016’ by GRABS Educational Charitable Trust, Chennai. She has also been adjudged the ‘Best Reviewer’ by NICE journal of Business for the issue Vol. 12, No. 2, July-December, 2017.

 

Due to her academic contribution in research, she has also been engaged as a reviewer for IIM-A journal- Vikalpa. In addition, she has been a reviewer for two books- ‘Advertising: Principles and Practices’ by Ruchi Gupta (Chand Publications) and ‘International Marketing’ by Justin Paul and Ramneek Kapoor (Tata McGraw Hill Education Private Limited). She is an acclaimed columnist and has introduced a section ‘Career Zone’ in jammulinksnews magazine. She has written over a dozen articles and cover stories for the fortnightly magazine portal jammulinks.com and is one of its founding members.
