Kajal Kalsi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, University of Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir), India. She pursued her Doctorate in Sociology from the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. She completed her MPhil and MA in Sociology from JNU and her Bachelor's degree in Political Science (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. Her areas of interest include Sociology of Forced Migration, Caste, Gender and Social Stratification, Borderland studies, and Political Sociology.
