Library and Information Science

Dr.Meghna Dhar , a product of  St.Marys Presentation Convent School ,Gandhi Nagar,Jammu, and University of Jammu,Jammu, UT of J&K was awarded PhD in Library Science in 2005 by University of Jammu. She was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library & Information Science ,University of Jammu on 28th July 2010.Prior to this she remained as Contractual Lecturer from 2005 to  June 2010 in the Department of Library & Information Sc.,University of Jammu

Teaching Experience :-Total 22 years 

15 years and 1 month as Assistant Professor (on Permanent  Basis)

5 years as  Contractual Lecturer and 2 years as Ph.D. Research Scholar) 

Current Designation -  

  Assistant   Professor (w.e.f. 28th July 2010 )

•    Acted as Incharge Head  of the Department of Department  of Library & Information Science, University of Jammu from 15th January 2022 to 20th Sept 2022

•  Acted as   NSS Programme Officer, Campus Unit-II, University of Jammu, Jammu  from July 2016 to 13thDecember 2023.

•  Acted as Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, Jammu from 2018 to 2021.

•  Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, NSS Campus Units, University of Jammu, Jammu,  from 2021 -2023

•    Acted as Internship Activity Coordinator, IIC, Institution Innovation Council (IIC), University of Jammu, Jammu. (Session 2020-2021, 2021-2022).

 • Acted as Treasurer ,Jammu University Teachers Association (JUTA) 2016-2017, 2017-2019, 2019-2021 ( For 5 consecutive years)
